In the recent decade, floral designers from Belgium and Germany have characterized their distinctive national design styles into diverse trends. Their design directions play a vital influence on the international floral trend today.
As one of our European Master Design Series, DFA – available in 3 levels, 16 designs per level; reveals students to Holland’s distinctive national floral design styles. Dutch floral creations are a perfect blend of fine European natural garden classics and contemporary designs. This DFA course will enrich students with knowledge of Dutch design styles and the essence of Dutch floral designs. We will emphasize on rich colour palettes, thoughtful approaches to textures, raw materials and the use of techniques from different eras, creating natural country style compositions, applicable as domestic ornament or grand commercial displays.

Suitable for students who have completed EFA Modern European Floral Design Concepts and IFA Floral Design Creations, students with basic western flower arranging experience and recommended for students who are looking to equip themselves with renowned world-class flower arrangement styles or interested in exploring different design styles and new skills.
Interactive learning approach – Our classes are fun, informative, friendly and relaxed. We will present students with a handout covering the design of each class, including botanical names of the flowers and foliages used in both English & Chinese, sketches and sample photos (when applicable) to assist learning. Our Instructor will kick start each class with a detailed explanation, following a step-by-step teaching method to ensure students develop the necessary applicable techniques and skills.
Guided by our experienced instructors every step of the way with feedback as you focus on the building blocks of the craft and establishing a strong foundation of floral know-how. Everything you make is yours to take home – which will be another learning opportunity to observe different flowers and foliages’ full character and vase life.
